At dawn on August 15th, a Robin DR.400/140B Dauphin 4 aircraft with the registration number F-GMXY took off on an internal flight from Loudun to La Baule, France. The plane, with three passengers aboard, disappeared from radar. The last noted position was near Lavau-sur-Loire, near the river Loire. In the immediate reaction, a search and rescue operation was undertaken. Around 18:30 (UTC+2), debris was seen in the water, and the body of one of the three was recovered. Firefighters have been conducting a search for the two other occupants, who are thought to have perished due to the accident.
